Part 1: Are my needs met for higher thinking?

 Today you will look at all the case studies below and connect them to Maslow's law.

Let's start with Human Needs.

 Learn about Maslow's Hierarchy.

Choose whichever one gives you the best understanding:

To be mentally wealthy one should operate in the self actulization.

Activity

Based on the Case studies, what needs are met for each social position? For example, "Slaves may have food and water, but they don't have Self-realization."

We observed that it is harder to have high level thinking when your needs are not met. 

Oppression is a fancy way of someone attempting to block your access to higher level thinking (self actualization) by taking away the word that gets most human rights activists killed...  resources.

Exit Ticket:

 Critical Thinking:  How would you feel if someone knew you needed water and decided one day, that they owned all the clean water in your town? Then...said only certain people had the status to drink from the clean water and you were not one of them? 

Which needs are affected by this simple change?

Wealth is more than Lambos and cash dispensers... it can be a matter of survival.
